Recreational running has an injury rate of 2.5 to 12.1 injuries per 1000 hours of running (Van Mechelen, 1992), one of the highest of all recreational sports. Running shouldn’t hurt and if it does, you may be doing it wrong. As a community service to our local area runners, Northwest has provided a standardized training protocol! Our hope is to empower experienced runners with a run prep program that takes into account the foremost research and methodologies in the sports performance community.

Though this program will meet the needs of many runners, for athletes that desire a more in-depth program development, we offer a $99 professional run coach consultation and injury screen. With the opportunity to set evaluate gait, run mechanics, and muscular imbalances, one of our coaches will be able to develop a personalized program tailored specifically to your needs giving you the tools and techniques needed to be the best runner you can be!
